How To Wrap A Heart Shape Box

September 13 2009 Bol d'Air MERVENT

Towards the 5th km, all is well!
23rd km it goes much slower!
Another very good weather for the Bol d'Air (which is aptly named, saw the wind blowing today!). A very nice pack of runners at the start, the 13 km and 25 have a common starting with about 220 riders on 25. Many uncertainties about the physical condition, not knowing how I recovered, or not, ridges Vosges 2 weeks ago.
So rather quiet start, then to the 5th kilo, the turbo diesel starts to go, and I have a very good passage for approximately 1 hour 15 minutes, where impeccably turned legs, ribs and numerous raids swallowed no problem ... then 5 minutes to 1 hour and 45 race, it's out of gas! coastal walking in slow motion on the flat, not terrible downhill ... the last 5 km seem endless. Everyone I doubled from 15 km to me pass without problem ... Response to the initial question: I have not quite recovered from 33 km Crest Vosges. I finished 100th
in 2 h 24'57 14th V2 and finally quite happy, because the route changed to 80% over previous editions is more difficult (600 m ascent on the 25 km)
What does not change not, in any case, the kindness and competence of everyone in the club "Always Fontenay Course" which organizes the trail. Encouragement and smiles from start to finish, and even after the tasting for Préfou Vendee, and the meal together!
